What We Learned Today

Today I taught the Kiddos how to address an envelope, we have done Thank You Notes off and on throughout the years, but I had always addressed them myself, so today as we did our Christmas Thank Yous our lesson was how to properly stamp and address an envelope, and everyone got to do one to be sent out, I hope the Post Office can get them where they are going with the Lil Kiddo Handwriting, cause they are so cute!! I wonder how many of my Friends remember Mrs. Fig teaching us how to write a Thank You Note!???? I remember so well our Paige Patrick HomeEc days in school, sewing a stuffed animal and making orange julius where I pulled the blender out wrong and it spilled everywhere, today we also had HomeEc here at home we made my Grandmas Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe, and the Kiddos learned to read a recipe, when we were adding ingredients Hayden tried to do an egg and it ended up on the counter, Fun Times! Honestly I didn't take much away from school when it came to Math, Science, Or English! But History, HomeEc & all The classes I took with Mrs. Fig stuck with me forever, even despite some slight brain damage, kinda funny what lessons stick with us and which ones don't! Have A Great Day Friends!

Christmas Break

We have had the best Christmas break ever, I was able to get a big looming project off my plate, we slept in, we went ice skating twice with family (Thanks Grammie), I have been revamping our Homeschool Curriculum, I am beyond excited and signed up for a 2 Day course! Exciting start to our 2014, it is always more fun to go into a year feeling more ahead than behind!!! Kids have been playing lots with no worries about studies, timelines, deadlines etc. Already clocking lots of road miles for my 2014 run goal, still back and forth with the major joint aches but Thankful for the good and bad days, atleast my legs still carry me! As much as I dislike winter I keep hoping and hoping and hoping for SNOW, we need the water come SUMMER~! Blessings To All, Keep On Keeping On!
